EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience.

REQUIRED - Tasks to be Performed
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
    • Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research, writing, and editing
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience, with technical documentation writing within specific timeframes and a working knowledge of multiple software and graphics packages
    • Proficiency with collaboration tools
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) to include formatting and track change features
    • Skill in interpreting and communicating technical information both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and manage technical documentation in accordance with the Department’s standards
    • Advanced writing and communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of English grammar and usage and solid proofreading skills
    • Detail-oriented with superior organizational and time management skills
Preferred Experience:
  • • Experience with criminal justice NIEM XML
    • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
    • Experience in writing API documentation
    • Ability to understand technical processes, software applications, and learn new material quickly
    • Aptitude for nurturing a collaborative, upbeat, positive working environment that values creativity and innovation
