DPS.  DPS may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. DPS will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s).
 
The DPS will be implementing the Centralized Accounting and payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) Financials from September 2017 until September 2018.  System support work may continue for 2-3 months after the September 1, 2018 go-live.  CAPPS is a statewide Enterprise Resource Planning system developed in PeopleSoft.  The agency will implement the following modules with the assistance of the state Comptroller:  Accounts Payable, Asset Management, General Ledger/Commitment Control, Purchasing/eProcurement, and Inventory.
 
The worker should have the necessary experience in order to assist with planning, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of the project.  The worker will coordinate and work closely with the agency project team members and the state Comptroller’s project team members.  The worker will also provide consultative services regarding the set-up of the agency instance of CAPPS.  The worker will develop a detailed work plan in collaboration with the project management.  The worker may determine the resources required to complete the project; as well as, assist the project team with such items as maintaining a schedule for project completion; monitor the progress of the project and make necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the project.  He/she will assist with establishing a communication plan to update stakeholders on the progress of the project; write reports for management regarding project progress; ensure that the project phases and assignments are on time and at the required level of quality; and evaluate the outcomes of the project.
 
Worker will support the project during all phases as well as liaise between all areas, stakeholders, and the Comptroller’s Office. Worker will also provide support to DPS’ Project Manager.  Worker will provide coordination of efforts, including, but not limited to all phases of the project, assist with Fit Gap, UAT and Training; as well as follow up support during post-implementation.
