Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. Some nights and weekends as needed.

This contract position will support the TxEVER project to complete the TER to TxEVER testing, verification and validation.  This includes development of test plans, procedures and scripts to verify all system functionality as well as troubleshoot issues, develop, track, and manage software issues including regression testing.  This position will enable the project team to ensure appropriate testing coverage is met throughout the life of the TxEVER implementation initiative.  The Software Test Analyst will work closely with analysts, systems designers, developers, quality engineering and other cross functional groups across the organization.   

  • 5 years or more of experience in software testing.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Knowledge of the limitations and FY capabilities of computer systems and of the techniques used in the design of non-automated systems, of applicable programming languages, of computer hardware and software, of computer operating systems, and of writing program code. Ability to analyze systems and procedures and to communicate effectively

  • 5 years, Experience in creating test plans, procedures and scripts to verify all system functionality.
  • 5 years, Knowledge in executing test cases and test scripts.  Capturing, tracking and managing software issues identified.  Ability to troubleshoot issues identified. 
  • 5 years, Experience in Regression testing.
  • 5 years, Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with people of all technical levels
  • 5 years, Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems.
Services expect to start as soon as possible and are expected to be completed by the dates specified. FY18 hours are as follows:  Contractor #1 – 1,464 hours, Contractor #2 720 hours with term ending 8/31/18.  FY19 hours for Contractor #1 are 648 hours with term ending 12/31/18. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
