The core duties include analyzing, modifying system codes, testing, troubleshooting, and creating technical design documents to meet UI, reporting, and interface requirements. Must demonstrate and excel in communicating and working with a diverse team, using collaboration tools competently in a remote work environment.
Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
The primary work location(s) will be at 815 11th St, Huntsville, TX 77340. In. The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidate's and/or Vendor's expense. Texas Department of Criminal Justice will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts.
The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
This remote position may occasionally require the contractor to work on-site. The office is 815 11th St, Huntsville, TX 77340. In-person meetings may be required in Huntsville, TX, and advance notice will be given. Travel expenses are not covered or reimbursed by the Agency.
May be required to work non-standard hours depending on project needs.
All work must be performed with TDCJ hardware only. A laptop and any required peripherals will be provided.
Overtime rates will not be paid. Hours worked over shall be billed at regular hourly rate.
Candidate shall be dedicated to the TDCJ and not hold employment other than this position.
